The government is considering offering enhanced cash-back payments for group applications to the Green Deal as it tries to drum up public interest in the flagging scheme.
A draft discussion paper for industry, seen by CN, raises the possibility of group applications receiving lump sum cash-back payments to encourage mass take-up of the Green Deal.
The move reflects the government’s desire to see the Green Deal rolled-out on a street-by-street basis rather than through individual properties.
